The RAM support is the same in both of them maxing out at 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and even the storage support is the same as UFS 2.1. On the contrary, with the Exynos 9611, we have support for FHD+ resolution displays but only at a refresh rate of 60Hz. The Snapdragon 720G has support for FHD+ resolution displays at a refresh rate of 60Hz or 90Hz or 120Hz. On the other hand, the Exynos 9611 provides support for Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio. Other connectivity features for the 720G includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual Band GPS and ISRO’s NavIC navigation system, USB Type-C, NFC. In comparison, the LTE modem in the Exynos 9611 results in a download speed of 600 Mbps and an upload speed of 150 Mbps. Both of them support LTE, with the Snapdragon 720G coming with a Snapdragon X15 LTE modem which supports a download speed of up to 800 Mbps and upload speed of up to 150 Mbps. Connectivityīoth the processors are not 5G compatible processors. As expected from an older processor, the 9611 just can’t come close to the number TOPs the Snapdragon 720G can perform. In comparison, we see a digital signal processor and a neural network engine in the Exynos 9611. It comes with Hexagon 692 DSP, Hexagon Tensor Accelerators, Vector Extensions, and Accelerators. In the AI department, we see Qualcomm’s 5th Gen AI engine for the Snapdragon 720G. The Exynos 9611 will just simply struggle to maintain a decent graphic performance, especially considering how graphic demanding the latest mobile games are. However, much like the CPU architecture, even with the GPU Samsung went cheap and used the Mali G72 MP3 GPU which is already a few years old now. Maybe there will some frame drops while playing AAA title games but still it will be playable most of the times. The Snapdragon 720G comes with Adreno 618, which can handle any game we throw at it. In simpler terms, the Exynos 9611 CPU architecture is generations behind the 720G. The Exynos 9611, on the other hand, uses the age-old four Cortex-A73 performance cores clocked 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked 1.7 GHz. Even in the CPU department, the Snapdragon 720G pulls ahead with two Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked 2.3 GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked 1.8 GHz. This makes the Snapdragon 720G way more efficient than the Exynos 9611. The Qualcomm processor is ahead here as it is built on an 8nm process, as compared to the 10nm manufacturing process of the Exynos 9611.
