Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, Timothy, and his sister-in-law, Debbie Loomis. He was always grateful to Karen Kolos for being so good to all the animals. It was a lot of work, but the pets were appreciative. He was great with those homeless dogs and never left until every single dog had been out, played with and treated to a hot dog and maybe a chewy. He and Diane volunteered together at Paws Along the River and loved the opportunity. He was a past member of the Conewango Club, where he got a kick out of the older crew and the stories they would tell. Mike served 2 terms on Warren City Council. People may remember driving by and seeing the two of them enjoying Diane’s home-made cookies, out on the bench on pleasant afternoons at 3:00. He thought the world of his colleague, Keith Naegeli, and truly enjoyed working hard beside him. He established Miller Motorcar Company that same year, successfully operating his business until retiring in 2013. He was proud to do his duty and maintained enduring friendships with his Vietnam buddies.Īfter being honorably discharged from the military, Mike earned a degree in English from Gannon University, graduating in 1972. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving an extended tour of duty in Viet Nam at Phan Rang as a crew chief for F-100 Super Sabres. This online edition is very inexpensive, but I would rather pay more and get a workable newspaper. can’t highlight and print an article without going to a crop function which barely works. every time the ad changes, the article text blurs to draw your attention to the ad and you must touchthe text to clear it ads on that bar change every 30 seconds causing a distraction to draw attention a large advertising bar has significantly reduced readable space I like to read the full page format, but this is now so annoying. I have been patiently trying to work with the new News and Observer app to understand its features and controls, but have reached a point that it is almost not worth it. There is not much that I care to read in the N&O because they have become so slanted in their reporting and they have an obvious agenda but I could read the funnies without their interpretation of what’s funny. Now that option does not exist plus I don’t see on the digital version where you can read the funnies. When it was working what I didn’t care for is that in the past you could see what the actual printed paper looked like and read it digitally. I am paying for something that is totally useless. I enter the proper information and it still gives me the same message. We pay for our full subscription and now every time I try to log on it tells me I need to log on because it freezes all the stories and will not let me proceed. With the most recent updates however it has become totally useless. My wife reads the actual paper and I read the digital version. I have been using the N&O digital app for some time.
